    For the record, I think I’ve addressed pretty much all of your comments above Bill. It took a little while but has been well worth it, you made some good points.

    I have a user-guide in progress, to go along with the in-game guidance feature introduced in 1.0.2.4

    It would be very nice to add some graphical additions in LOM, such as different models and textures for villages in domains of different races (Free, Fey and Doomdark’s subjects), maybe also different graphics for keeps and citadels of Free, Fey and Doomdark.

    Yes back in the earlier days we were thinking of adding different terrain variants to the model and texture library, however we never got around to it…

    Whilst I do agree that it would still be nice to add some variants, I can tell you that any further model/texture development in my books would be channelled straight into a DDR set 🙂

    It would be also good to add option “give” in LOM (like in DDR), such as “Give the sword Wolfslayer to another character”.

    It would be sensible to reset a shelter in villages, keeps and citadels every night in LOM (like in DDR). It doesn’t make much sense if shelter in willages, keeps and citadels can be found only once per game.

    Thanks for these suggestions, I’ll keep them in mind for any alternative scenario option.

    Interesting thoughts…

    Wayne and I actually had plans for a better endgame experience, however time ran out to do what we wanted prior to this release.

    But the ideas are still there for a future update 😉

    Some feedback on a few points above:

    Gloom (600W, 700R), Morkin & Lothoril (200W, 200R) attacked a keep by Gard, and in the morning it said that Morkin alone slew ?? and the battle continues. Pressed ‘Dawn’ and Morkin was dead, the other 2 lords were outside the keep

    It could be that Morkin dies in battle but the battle continues if the battle location still contains both other free and foul armies…

    I decided to reload the previous game, but Morkin was still dead.

    The game is auto-saved after each night of battle so this makes sense. Otherwise it would be too easy to undo the nights battles and adjust/replay them.

    From that point on, every lord that had been entered into battle before the reload, were still where they were supposed to be, but no battle was taking place. The lords were still in the keeps, but so were the Doomguard, they must have come to a truce:-) I quickly clicked through a few days, but they didn’t fight. When I took the lords one step out of the keeps, turned and attacked again, they fought this time.

    Let’s keep an eye on this one… shouldn’t happen any more from 1.0.2.3

    The overnight narrative said that Luxor lost 105W and the battle continues.
    Huh?!?!?!
    When I pressed ‘Dawn’ Xajorkith and Utarg were outside the keep not in the battle.
    The order into battle was X,U,L

    The narrative seems ok, but displacement from the battle location should only occur when victory goes to the enemy, ie all free armies are defeated at the battle location. Please keep an eye on this one from 1.0.2.3

    The stronghold defeat logic selects the 1st character in the location that is allowed an army and then allows their race to occupy the keep…

    However it then went on to override that by setting the occupying race to the free if the original owner was on the alliance… this is what you are reporting above.

    I decided to remove the override in 1.0.2.4, so that the former logic now applies

    Hi Kevin, not to worry! I’ve also not completed the game for a very long time…

    You could do much worse than take some tips off Draygor below, who seems well skilled in the art of taking Ushgarak.. I’ve seen the evidence with the multi coloured carpet of armies surrounding the Citadel on the eve of it’s downfall…. quite a good view!

    Yes it was kind of important!

    If I’ve implemented the fix as I intended, then all lords will have kept fighting and dying, just that you will not be able to command them and see that if no-one is wearing the moonring, ie Morkin is up against it if Luxor should die !

    But please do test this out and report back…

    There is only one pair of files per campaign now.

    Yes if the reported bug is repeatable then to send me the campaign files just prior to the night where it happens would be very helpful.

    Next best would be from the night after it happened.

    Depends how repeatable it is for you… I can’t seem to make it happen !

    Upon opening your save game, I was presented with your armies of the free having just taken Ushgarak, what a sight ! I never saw that many free armies in one location… 🙂

    However to try and find your reported bug, I need a save game from the night before your reported increase in army size if possible ?
